Frequently Asked Questions
In New Jersey, direct access allows you to be seen directly by a licensed physical therapist without a referral for a maximum of 30 days or 10 visits (whichever comes first from the date of initial treatment/evaluation.
SoulRise Physical Therapy has chosen to be an out-of-network provider because our model focuses on you, the patient, your personalized care and refuses to accept the limitations placed upon you by insurance companies, via caps and other requirements. In providing you the time, attention, and quality of service you deserve, we have opted for a cash-based approach. Many clinics who are in-network often have to treat 2 or more patients per hour and utilize an aide/tech/trainer for much of the actual care, usually 2-3 times per week for 1-3 months! We do not believe this model fosters holistic care, much less the high level, efficient, patient-centered care we aim to provide each of our patients. While the cost of cash-based services may be higher than your typical copay, we offer 1:1 direct, hands-on care from start to finish, for a 60 minute session. This means you will achieve your goals in less time overall.
Some insurances reimburse for out-of-network services, so if you wish to apply for this, a superbill can be easily prepared for you to submit. Call/text us to ask about our rates.
At SoulRise Physical Therapy, we look forward to meeting and assisting you toward achieving a pain-free, quality of life. Once you schedule an appointment, you will receive an intake form to complete via email and on the day of your appointment you will meet your therapist inside Laughing Hearts Yoga & Movement, 10-15 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment time. Sessions are personalized 1:1 with your therapist for the entire duration and at each follow-up visit. A thorough postural, biomechanical, strength, and movement assessment will be performed to identify the cause of symptoms. Additionally, a health and stress assessment is conducted to further assist you in achieving wellness goals, for prevention of ‘dis-ease’, and of reoccurrence of pain episodes. Routine questions regarding your symptoms, location, and both past and current medical/surgical history will be asked. We will discuss a customized plan of care to help you achieve your goals and will revisit it periodically for modifications and to ensure you are on track accomplishing them. Payment is expected in full before each session.
